So…as I log onto the blog I see that the last time I updated was November 19th. Wow. So much has happened.
We made it through the holiday season. It’s amazing how much the holiday’s change when you have a baby. It was by far the BEST holiday season I have ever experienced. We were able to spend time with family and friends and, most importantly, celebrate the birth of Jesus! I always read to Cole…but I cannot wait until the day comes that I can read him the Christmas story, and he understands the true meaning of Christmas.
As for Cole…man oh man…so much has changed! He received an early Christmas present…his FOUR front teeth! He popped a first tooth in early December… and within 4 weeks he had all four front teeth!
He is crawling. He doesn’t do the typical crawl…he stays low key and under the radar with his army crawl. I know he can get up on his knees…(because that is how he sleeps at night)…but he just LOVES the army crawl.
He has started pulling up…occasionally. He loves to curl his toes which makes standing and pulling up hard. If I put shoes on him he is much better at it…but the child hates socks and shoes. He is a mastermind at removing his socks in the car and hiding them. I am serious. Cole has socks when we leave the house. We arrive at our destination and they are NOWHERE to be found. I think he eats them.
Cole is finally getting over a sinus infection. He got sick right after Christmas and it just would not go away. It started to get worse last week so my wonderful mother (a.k.a. Nana) took him to the doctor for me on Friday morning. Sinus infection = pink medicine. Cole loves it. He gets so excited when I take that pink bottle out of the fridge. Who can blame him? I loved it too when I was little!
As for me and Justin…Justin is still traveling and I am surviving. Cole and I cherish every second Justin is home with us on the weekends. We miss him so much during the week. It’s really beginning to show how much Cole misses his Daddy. He is so happy to see his Daddy on Saturday morning. Justin can’t even walk out of the room without Cole following him now. It really is very sweet.
Cole is now the oldest baby in his class at daycare. This is sad for me because soon he will be moving up to the one year old room. I love the baby room! I’m sure I will love the one year old room too…but that means my baby is going from the king of the class to the low man on the totem poll. ….It really means he is growing up.
We are still so very blessed. I feel like I spend the majority of the day thanking the lord for such a healthy, happy, wonderful baby.
